Q:   How do I define static IP numbers in an IPCop firewall?

A:   An IPCop 56K connection works fine where an ISP supplies an IP address, but how do I configure IPcop to use a static IP number?

For Analogue 56K modems simply add the ip addresses to /etc/ppp/options

eg. 139.130.1.56:139.130.1.1
where 139.130.1.56 is your IP Address and 139.130.1.1 is the destination IP Address. For ISDN this line should be added to /etc/ppp/ioptions
